Giulio Tremonti is an Italian politician and currently Professor of tax law at the University of Pavia. He has been multiple times Minister of Economy and Finance (1994-95, 2001-04, 2005-06, 2008-11), Vice–President of the Council of Ministers (2005-06) and Vice-President of the Chamber of deputies (2006-08). In the 2022 general election he was re-elected as a member of the Chamber of Deputies with the party Fratelli d’Italia. He authored numerous writings and has been columnist for different newspapers.
