Dr. Maxim A. Suchkov, is Senior Fellow and Associate Professor at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University) and Assocaite Editor of Al-Monitor (Russia-Mideast Coverage). He also is a non-resident expert of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and Associate Research Fellow at the Italian Institute of international Political Studies (ISPI). Earlier, Dr. Suchkov was a Fulbright visiting fellow at Georgetown University and New York University. His areas of interest include Russian foreign policy, US-Russia relations, security and counter-terrorism in the Middle East, impact of technology on international relations.
