Dr Shaykh Al Islami is currently the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran and the and President of the Institute of Political and International Studies (IPIS), a foreign policy think tank based in Tehran. Prior to this, he has been for instance the Dean of the School of International Relations in Tehran, and the President of the Iranian Association of Diplomacy. He has published a number of books and articles about matters of international relations and global issues.
